Joe Laporte (FRICK) - growing up, I was a big horror movie buff. After watching James Wan’s, The Conjuring, I knew I wanted to make movies that would make audiences feel deep emotions. I attended the Los Angeles Film School where I focused on the art of Directing and graduated Cum Laude, while also being inducted into the National Honors Society. I have been working in the film industry for 6 years and have directed multiple genres of content including music videos, commercials, and narrative content. Most recently I have joined the Director’s Guild of America in 2022.

David Liehn (FRACK) - growing up, I was a huge fan of 80’s comedies and coming of age films. I spent countless hours rewatching and memorizing the seminal films of John Hughes and John Landis, whose careers have greatly influenced me. In high school I took a cinematography course and made my first film (taking home “best picture” honors in the process). I directed many more short films as an undergrad at the University of Florida where I also studied film history and became fascinated by the Hollywood studio system. In 2001 I received my Masters in Film Production (MFA) from the University of Miami. I moved to Los Angeles after film school to follow my dreams of “making it” in Hollywood. I have been working in the entertainment industry ever since and joined the Director’s Guild of America in 2008.

In 2019 we teamed up to form the directing duo, “Frick & Frack.”

Our credits include multiple award-winning short films, music videos, and spec commercials. We are currently seeking new commercial/music video representation.
